Quality assessment is key to enabling Severndale pupils to access the next steps in their learning.  This is derived primarily through professional observations using the Evidence for Learning app and linked to our own Severndale devised progression steps.  The progression steps allow pupils small steps of progress to be recorded and also allows us to be able to measure progress across the curriculum rather than just in a linear traditional way.  This method of collecting progress information about Severndale pupils is much more aligned to the non neurotypical learning  styles of young people with SEND.
