Disabled Children's Team
Severndale work closely with the Disabled Children’s Team at Shropshire local authority. The link here will tell you more about how the team can support you:
In addition, we also work closely with an organisation called PACC (Parent and Carer council) who are a registered charity and have three main aims as outlined below
- The creation of a Shropshire parent carer community that reduces isolation and strengthens the capacity of parents to support their family
- The provision of information to inform and empower parents and carers about the issues that affect their families
- The provision of opportunities for parents and carers to influence the decisions that affect their families and to contribute to developing services that meet the needs of their families.
PACC are an independent organisation and are always a useful contact with questions about support for young people with SEND in Shropshire
If you are a parent or carer from Telford the PACC equivalent in Telford is called PODS. You can find more information about PODS here:
Severndale Food Bank
Severndale have ran their own food bank for families who need additional support in this area. If this would be something that you would benefit from then please do not hesitate to contact your class teacher or the school for further information.
